ASPCA Grant Helps Angel Acres Assist Horses In Need VIA Mattie's Legacy Fund.




April 16th, (Glenville, Pa.)- The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (the ASPCA) granted Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue Inc The ASPCA was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world.



"Thanks to the generous grant provided by the ASPCA, Angel Acres was able to continue to assist horses and their families in need around the nation via Mattie’s Legacy Fund.  Specifically, the grant allowed us to assist an additional 46 horses, allowing them to remain safe in their homes while their families regained financial stability and balance due to these tough economic times. Truly, we cannot thank the ASPCA enough for providing us with the means to assist these horse families in need,” commented Jo Deibel, Founder and President of Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue.


 Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue saves horses bound for slaughter for human consumption and assists in cases of abuse, neglect and abandonment. Founded in 2004 by Jo Deibel Angel Acres is a 501c3 non profit organization chartered by the State of Pennsylvania.




A flagship program of Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue is Mattie’s Legacy Fund. Funds are used to save horses from slaughter and to assist local horse owners that are in immediate need of assistance with grain, hay or farrier care.
