Racing To End To Horse Slaughter: The Humane Society of the United States

Racing To End To Horse Slaughter: The Humane Society of the United States

Please read the story below, no gruesome photos though one sad photo of horses being hauled in a cramped truck (shown to the left)...but it's why people like the folks at Angel Acres, Mid Atlantic Horse Rescue, Shiloh Horse Rescue, and many others around the nation live and breathe horse rescue every, single day.

Story is here:

Please do whatever you can to help spread the word about horse slaughter and the need for rescue...contact a local rescue and see if you can volunteer or send a donation to a favorite rescue...any and all of these actions help us save lives.

Thanks HSUS for doing this story!

Rescue of the Week - Shiloh Horse Rescue!

This is Crusoe - adorable halflinger - pony available at Shiloh Horse Rescue in NV. The info below is from Shiloh's Website...be sure to check him out today!

9/10/09 Crusoe's adoption music video.

He is such a friendly little guy, loves attention, leading, grooming and playing with his herdmates. He gets along with everyone. He is getting very good about picking up his feet and will stand tied. We will continue to work with him until his home comes along, but he deserves more attention than he can get at the rescue. Crusoe will make someone a wonderful pony! He is healthy, 100% sound and up to date.

GREAT WEEKEND....

What a teaser...I know...but we are just getting back into the groove after several successful meetings in Las Vegas...then a weekend in Harrisburg.

Natty Boh AKA Super National is getting ready for his trip to Colorado. We have horses coming and going and its a bit crazy here!

We will post more updates tomorrow...a bunch of them...stay tuned!

We would also like to thank Shiloh Horse Rescue for their wonderful idea and blessing with our newest project...The Feed Angels...based wholly on their Feed Fairies project. Many of you know that we are all about working together (and well, we just plain love Shiloh Horse Rescue, the best in the West!) and helping raise awareness about horse rescue and the need for owner and breeder responsibility.

We are working on a feed fairy/feed angel promotion...to help us help our supporters help the horses!! More details...sssooonnnn... I know, I know...I am making you wait...Sorry!! LOL!

Have a happy day everyone!
