Just 2 Days Left to Help Us Spread The Word!! We have just 2 days to go in our billboard campaign challenge fundraiser on Global Giving - you have pushed over our goal and we will be able to get about 10* billboards up around the nation! Woo Hoo!! We are the ONLY horse rescue in the challenge, the ONLY animal charity in the Top 40 charities, have THE MOST facebook shares (we get a bonus for that), we are on the 1st page of "most popular projects" and you have moved us up to 4th place out of the 200 charities in the challenge!! Please consider a donation to our efforts to help raise awareness about horse slaughter - we can't do it without support from the horse and animal loving community...we still need your support for a big ending (we would LOVE to finish in the Top 3) and.... If we can get to 1st place we could win a BIG donation from Global Giving as bonus grants are still undecided (we are not that far behind)! HELP US GO NATIONAL!!

Help Us Go National!! We are working hard to take the Angel Acres Anti Horse Slaughter Billboard Campaign national! Our billboard project was accepted by the Global Giving website - a HUGE boost to our horse slaughter awareness efforts. In order to get a permanent spot on their site we need at least 50 people to donate and help us raise funds for the billboard campaign. So far, 12 people have donated to the effort - we need at least 38 more people to donate to our project in order to secure a permanent spot on the Global Giving site; we have a very short time to do it in. Why are we asking for your help to make this go national and why is this particular spot so importantl? It's simple - posting on forums and chat rooms, private groups, etc is NOT enough to spread the word that American horses are being shipped across the borders into Mexico and Canada to be brutally slaughtered - EVERY SINGLE DAY! Global Giving will give us a chance to reach MILLIONS of people each month about our efforts! For Immediate Release Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue TO RECEIVE NEW TOYOTA VEHICLE TO BETTER SERVE THE COMMUNITY Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program Names Winning Organization Glenville, Pa. – August 4, 2011–Toyota is pleased to announce that Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue was recognized as a winner of Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program and will receive a Toyota Tundra to better serve the community. The Toyota 100 Cars for Good program is awarding 100 vehicles over the course of 100 days to 100 deserving nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public. Public voting began on May 9 and continues for 100 consecutive days. Each day, five organizations are profiled on Toyota’s Facebook page and voters may vote for the charity they feel is most deserving of the vehicle. A vehicle will be awarded each day through August 16 for a total of 100 vehicles.
