This is Socks - a pony mare rescued by Jody and her family - she was starved and so weak she could not walk for water and hay. Jody had to take water and food to her. AND she was pregnant & severely foundered at the time of rescue...the farrier believes with proper care & maintenance she will be able to remain comfortable and live a long life.
