January 14, 2013 (Glenville, Pa.)- In September 2011 the
American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (the ASPCA) granted
Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue Inc. The
American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first
humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the
largest in the world.

"This generous grant has allowed us to finish several
important projects that will help improve the overall efficiency
of our rescue, retraining and rehoming adoption program and will allow
us to continue training year round, while cutting our expenses. We could not be
more thrilled with the successful completion these projects!"

Acres Horse Haven Rescue saves horses bound for slaughter for human consumption
and assists in cases of abuse, neglect and abandonment. Founded in 2004 by
Jo Deibel Angel Acres is a 501c3 non profit organization chartered by the State
of Pennsylvania

A
flagship program of Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue is Mattie’s Legacy Fund.
Funds are used to save horses from slaughter and to assist local horse owners
that are in immediate need of assistance with grain, hay or farrier care. Angel
Acres is a GFAS (Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries) Accredited facility.
